Thank you to Laura for changing my life!!! She is so caring, professional, friendly and understanding of my weight challenges.
These medicines work with a signal your body already uses. GLP-1 is a hormone that helps regulate appetite, and the medicines act on that same signal in the brain, so you eat less and your weight comes down.
They’re meant for adults with obesity, or with overweight and a weight-related health problem such as high blood pressure.
These medicines are meant for long-term use. Obesity guidelines recommend continuing after you reach your goal, because stopping often brings the weight back.
Muscle matters too. Most of what comes off is fat, but some is muscle, and enough protein and strength exercise help limit that loss.
So your plan starts with the long run. Eating well, moving more, and support with habits belong in every plan that uses these medicines, and diet and lifestyle coaching comes with yours from the start. From your first visit, Laura sets out with you what staying on, cutting back, or stopping would look like.

Laura started out as an aesthetician. She went on to become a registered nurse, spent years as a clinic manager, and then became a nurse practitioner, with her nursing degrees from the University of Colorado’s Colorado Springs campus.
She opened the practice in 2018, and it’s women-owned. Weight loss is one of her three areas of focus, along with hormones and gut health care, and she has more than 5 years in hormone and functional medicine.
She believes that to look good, you need to feel good. So she looks at your hormones and gut health alongside your weight, and she sees her weight-loss patients herself.
Coming to see Laura at Artistry has been life changing. … I regret not coming to see her sooner. If you just don’t know where to start but something feels off with your body and mind…if you are wondering, debating, questioning your hormone and weight journey, just make an appointment to see her. She cares!!!
I would highly recommend her program.
Laura is amazing! She is always so professional and patient with all of the questions I ask.

The most common side effects are in the stomach, such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and stomach pain. In the large trials, they were mostly mild to moderate.
Before any medicine is started, you fill in your health forms, and Laura reviews your history with you.
I receive close and caring attention, the questions asked help me have an honest exchange about my health.
It can. Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and stomach pain are the most common side effects. In the large trials they were mostly mild to moderate, easing over time with semaglutide and coming mainly while the dose was rising with tirzepatide.
Less common but serious problems include inflammation of the pancreas, gallbladder problems, kidney problems from dehydration, severe stomach problems, allergic reactions, and low blood sugar in people who also take diabetes medicines.
So your health forms come before your first visit, and Laura reviews your history before prescribing anything. Your coaching continues alongside.
If you’re planning a pregnancy, semaglutide is stopped at least two months beforehand. On tirzepatide, women on birth-control pills switch to another method, or add a barrier method, for four weeks after starting and after each dose increase.
This isn’t the full list, so tell Laura your complete history and medicines on your forms and at your visit.
You call or book online, with your questions welcome first.
Your cost depends on the medicine your plan uses. Call our Littleton office before you book, and we’ll give you the current cost of the first visit and the medicine.

Yes. GLP-1 medicines are used with a reduced-calorie diet and more physical activity, not in place of them. Good nutrition guidance helps ease side effects, protect muscle and bone, and support keeping weight down. That’s why diet and lifestyle coaching comes with every weight-loss plan Laura sets.
Not on its own. Estrogen-containing hormone therapy isn’t recommended for age-related weight gain. Laura does look at your hormones and gut health alongside your weight, and bio-identical hormone replacement is a separate service here, starting with blood work and a questionnaire.
Medical weight loss here is a plan for the long run, with someone who explains every part of it. You’ll know from the start what staying on, cutting back, or stopping would mean.
Want to ask something first? Call us; we’re glad to talk it through. Our Littleton office sits in an office park, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, and restroom. Patients come from Ken Caryl, Columbine, and Lakewood.
